Baby Bunny blanket - custom order

I'm working on this custom order for a friend in London. It's for a one-year old's birthday.
The theme was straightforward "Bunny" and after scratching my head a little I came up with this sleeping rabbit design.

Home-made baby nappies - recycled textiles

Here is my first attemps at making my own washable baby nappies. I used the sleeve of an organic cotton zip-up top and the bottom of a tee-shirt for the outside, and made an inner lining pad out of absorbant cotton. Tomorrow I will test it for the first time on my (nearly) one-year-old. Fingers crossed!

I've posted a couple of pictures here of the nappy being trial tested!!!

New pictures of the progress of my textile sculpture balls.

Lots of fun to make.

Great to cut up old tee-shirts and put them to use in this work...

Textile sculpture - ball

I am making this textile adding layer upon layer of fabric remnants.
I'm not sure how big I will make it yet.

Textile sculpture - bust

I'm starting work on this textile sculpture project. The idea is to add layer upon layer until I reach a thickness which will allow the "shell" to be cut away from the support, and hold on its own. I'm thinking 3 or 4 centimeters of thickness of fabric, using only bits and pieces of recycled textile.

Watergreen sheer top

If you are on the prairie
Close
your eyes and crawl away
Go hide within some people
place
This land's too broad, its sky's too high
It was never meant for people eyes

Card and Tab holders

A custom order to replenish the stock of the local restaurant / wine bar La Terrasse, in my village.
I made two batches of 6 in the summer, but 11 disappeared progressively, and there was only one left when this new order cae through. The design has improved. The result is a thicker piece, less pliable, and without raw edges which could become messy.
Let's hope the customers can refrain from walking away with them!
- Made out of a mix of recycled or given fabric. Machine washable -

Eco-Friendly item poll

One of my latest item has been selected for Etsy's Eco-Friendly item poll. Here's the poll: http://www.etsy.com/voter_list.php?ref=voter&room_id=42
If anyone fancies voting for me, click on the link and look for the
Spring Baby lightly quilted blanket from Pieceunique.
Any support greatly appreciated! If I get enough votes, this will be my first time on Etsy front page since I've been working on my shop properly (early January '09).

Here's a link to the picture on my Etsy shop in case you want to read a bit more about it.
Thanks again for any help!

Custom order - Witch dress

In exchange for a photo session from Aurelia, I made this witch dress for her daugther Jade. I didn't have precise measurements, so am not entirely satisfied with the result. But then again I think it did the trick for
Carnival day.

Here's also a lovely picture of her with her Mum Aurelia.
